Leaguez Offishal was originally founded as Majah Leaguez in 1997.  The name was later changed to Leaguez Official.  The group started with Hard Blow, Drewrama, and Divine Wiz.  The mission was to create a group with at least one member from every housing project on the Southside of Lumberton, NC, locally called 41 Curb.  Soon, the group grew to include over eleven members from all parts of Robeson County.  The strategy was simple - to be the best in the hood, then the city, and so on.  After the group caught a bad deal, a couple of the members were arrested for various charges, and some others moved away.  The idea was brought up to re-kindle the group a few years ago, and momentum has been steadily building since. These lyricists are not an echo from a forgotten time in hip hop, they are for real and they still have hits ricocheting off the streets today.
